FOKIQ Β· Your Evolution
Your brain type, over time.
Most brain-training apps grade you against yesterday's you. Fokiq tracks how your cognitive shape shifts across days, weeks, and months. Six domains, ten brain types, one strip. Free forever. No subscription. No paywall.
What this strip actually measures.
Every Daily, Fokiq asks six puzzles β one per cognitive domain: pattern, memory, spatial, speed, logic, language. Your GRID score (0β500) is the sum across all six. Your brain type is the pair of domains where you scored highest. Strong on pattern + logic? You're a Strategist. Strong on spatial + logic? Architect. Ten pairings, ten types.
The strip on this page is your last 30 Dailies, oldest on the left, today on the right. Bar height encodes GRID β taller bar, sharper day. Bar color encodes your primary domain β the cognitive lane you led with. Hover or focus a cell to see the GRID, the brain type, and the two domains that shaped it.
Why we gate the strip at Day 7.
Brain-type classification is noisy on the first few days. One unusually strong memory puzzle can flip you from Strategist to Reflex; one weak language round can swap Analyst for Architect. We don't want to show you a "shape" that's mostly variance.
By Day 7, the dominant pairing has usually stabilized β you're seeing the pattern under the noise. By Day 30, the pairing is your steady-state cognitive identity on this scoring rubric. By Day 90, the strip is a habit chart, not just an identity chart β it's evidence of what daily 6-minute brain training looks like in your life.
Day 7, Day 30, Day 90 milestones.
When you cross one of those days, the strip surfaces a "Share this evolution" link. The shared image is a 1200Γ630 OG card with your latest brain type, your milestone day, and your GRID β generated server-side, refreshed hourly, no external services. We don't attach your name or a profile photo unless you've added one. The card is identity, not kudos-bait.
The strip itself stays in your browser. Fokiq doesn't sync your evolution history to any server unless you explicitly opt in β every cell on this page came out of your local storage. Clear it, and the history clears with it.
What this surface is not.
Not a leaderboard, not a streak counter, not a coach. We have a leaderboard at /leaderboard β a streak counter on the home page β and we are explicit, on every page, that brain training is not the same as raising your IQ, treating dementia, or proving anything clinical. Fokiq is daily mental warm-up backed by visible progress, not therapy.
If today's the first time you're hearing about Fokiq, the home page is the right place to start: play today's Daily. If you'd rather see the day-N puzzle as a shareable artifact (the same six puzzles every player got today), try /d/today.
Where to go from here.
If you want to understand the type itself β say, what makes a Strategist different from an Architect β every brain type has a deep-dive page under /brain-types. They explain the dominant pairing, the cognitive lanes, and the kind of work / play environment each type tends to thrive in. Honest, no astrology, no "Strategists are natural leaders" hype.
If you want to compete, the leaderboard ranks all-comers by today's GRID. If you'd rather train one specific lane β pattern, memory, spatial, speed, logic, language β every domain has a free practice page under /brain-training. The brain-type quiz is a one-shot, six-question read on your pairing β useful if you'd rather know your shape today than wait 7 Dailies for it to stabilize.
