How fokiq streaks work
- Reset at midnight UTC. Streaks roll over once per UTC calendar day, no matter where you live. Pick a regular play time that lands well before midnight UTC for your timezone — that's the safest streak-protector.
- One play per UTC day. The first completed daily of the UTC day counts. Replays and practice runs don't lengthen the streak; the daily challenge is the only surface that does.
- Free forever. Streaks have never required a paid plan and never will. We don't believe in dark patterns where you pay to undo a missed day.
- No streak freezes — yet. When freezes ship they'll be visible here, with rules in writing. Until then a missed UTC day resets the streak to zero, no exceptions.
- Stored locally. Without an account your streak lives in localStorage on this device. Clearing browser data resets it. Optional sync is on the roadmap, but most players will never need an account.

Streak FAQ
What happens if I miss a day on fokiq?
Your fokiq streak counts consecutive UTC calendar days where you completed the daily puzzle. If a UTC day passes with no completion, your streak resets to zero on the next play. Streak resets are quiet by design — no shame, no dark patterns. The next day is a fresh Day 1.
Can I freeze my fokiq streak?
Streak freezes are not currently shipped. We're holding the bar high before introducing them — a freeze that protects an unlimited number of misses turns the streak into wallpaper, and a freeze that costs money breaks our free-forever promise. When freezes ship, the rules will be visible on this page.
Does deleting my browser data reset my fokiq streak?
Yes. Daily history, GRID scores, and streak length are stored in your browser's localStorage when you play without an account. Clearing site data, switching browsers, or playing in private/incognito mode all start a fresh streak. Account-backed sync is on the roadmap but not the default — most players never sign in, and we want streaks to work for them.
What's the longest fokiq streak so far?
As of 2026-05-04, the longest verified streak is Mr_Mohit09 at LV4 Day 96. This is the only streak length we report — we don't fabricate aggregate stats. If you're playing today, your streak is part of the count.
Do I need an account to maintain a fokiq streak?
No. fokiq is free, has no signup wall, and runs entirely in the browser. Your streak persists in localStorage on the device you play from. Optional account sync is planned but never required to play, finish a daily, build a streak, or see your full 30-day heatmap.
